Volunteer Incentives Program News
Our Volunteer Incentives Program is in full swing!
All we need are VIP All Star Volunteers-that's YOU!
Different Ways to Volunteer
There are many ways you can volunteer to help make a difference in YOUR organization! Check out the list to see if something sounds like your area of expertise!
- Help work a booth at one of ODEFA's events or seminars
- Help your Component Trustee with a Continuing Education seminar
- Research for possible venues and speakers for a seminar in your component
- E-mail confirmations to registrants
- Make printed name tags
- Type the registration list
- Help with gifts
- Work the registration table the day of the seminar
- Work at the table of "For Sale" items and handouts at the seminar
- Help clean up after the seminar
- Attend quarterly ODEFA Meetings in Columbus
- Serve as a Delegate for your component at ODA Annual Session Meeting in September
- By serving as a delegate, you are simply attending our main meeting where the year of events is reviewed and a vote is taken to accept or reject any issues that require a majority vote from ODEFA members. ODEFA contributes toward your room and fuel in the amount of $50 but it is still considered volunteering your time for the organization.
- Volunteer at ODA on Saturday morning with other ODEFA Members to help direct CE Course attendees to their classrooms
- Assist your local Component Trustee with mailings, phone calls, typing documents, mass e-mails or anything else that he or she may need help with.
- Ten submissions equal one hour of volunteering with any combination of the following:
- Answering surveys
- Participating in our web forum discussions
- Responding to requests for information to be printed in "The Expanded," ODEFA's quarterly Newsletter
VIP Recognition
ODEFA appreciates your help! We want to say THANK YOU for your efforts and time to help make YOUR organization successful in the advancement of the EFDA profession and your career!
Beginning June 1, 2008, every hour volunteered is a *star* earned toward your reward!
Your local component Trustee or any State Board Member will turn in your rewards *stars* at each ODEFA meeting so you can collect your rewards.
Recognition of your services will be placed in "The Expanded," ODEFA's Newsletter and on our website.
Your efforts will be recognized with a certificate at our Annual Session Board Meeting.
Tracking Your Reward Stars
Keep track of the hours you have volunteered. Every hour volunteered is a *star* earned. There are two ways to turn in your reward *stars*.
